Today, this university has the largest program for engineering physics for aerospace in the U.S. Those who come to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University can enjoy Daytona Beach, Florida, during their stay.
Daytona Beach is best known for its beach, and, then, for being a family resort city on sunny Florida's Eastern coast. Next, the city is known as the location of NASCAR's Daytona 500. Actually, the Daytona International Speedway is situated conveniently on the other side of the airport property from the university. The city, with its beautiful sands and surf, has an exciting beach scene, many fabulous restaurants and has a climate that is humid and subtropical.
Daytona Beach and the surrounding area have many more things to see and do such as Daytona Lagoon, a family amusement park with rides. This park has special deals on prices in the late afternoons.
Nearby, on International Speedway Boulevard, at the Speedway, people can purchase packages at Richard Petty's Driving Experience. Guests can actually get behind the wheel of a racecar. They can also tour the Speedway and learn more about the track, find out what happens behind the scenes, and more.
Golf lovers can find numerous golf resorts and clubs around Daytona Beach. Lovely, award winning courses near the coastline or inland with lakes and wildlife are challenging options.
The Beach at Daytona Beach is a stretch of twenty-three miles. No one should miss time along the sandy shores while they are in the city. Those who want to walk the sands near the water's edge can follow the beach for long distances. Near the city center people can enjoy a Ferris wheel, Go-Carts, and other rides. Those who want more beach space with less people are sure to find a nice spot for family or a romantic evening picnic for two along the shore.
